Due to Todd Held's resignation for a move out of Alaska, the Nominating Committee has received three nominations for our club's president position. All three have accepted their nominations and have submitted their resumes with inspiring ideas and a clear vision for the club as we move forward.

The Nominating Committee hopes this will help our members learn more about these great candidates as they formulate their votes.

A link to the electronic ballot is being emailed to members, all ballots must be received by November 1, 2024

Terrance Pearson:

I have deliberated much on accepting the nomination and would like to offer that if nominated and elected, I would serve.

I have no conflicts as I am no longer on the SCCA BOD and hold no other current BOD positions.

I was asked to share my thoughts on what I would be able to offer to the Region so I will attempt to summarize that now.

If you are not aware, I have been a PCA member for a relatively short time, but I feel that during that time, I have done my best to serve when the need arose. The experience that I offer stems most directly from my service as an Officer in the United States Army for twenty-four years. During that time, I was privileged to lead in peace and war and was successful. I also draw on my recent experiences serving as an executive with the Municipality of Anchorage, as well as my current service as an executive for one of the Alaska Regional Native Corporations. Those experiences have taught me well how to lead and serve citizens as well as shareholders. I expect to offer those experiences to the Region’s Members.

I have been an active member of the Anchorage automobile enthusiast community over the past thirteen years, serving on the Board of Directors for the Alaska Sports Car Lions Club and, most recently, the Regional Executive of the Artic Alaska Region of the Sports Car Club of America. I have also been active with the community including participating in planning and executing events such as Alaska Tuner Catalog, REV Alaska, and Turner Empire. Although not directly a normal demographic for the Porsche Brand, I believe the relationships are vital to the success of our Region.

I have had and still have a reasonable relationship with our local Porsche Dealer, Swickard Auto Groups, Porsche of Anchorage, as well as other independent shops,

including Culmination Motorsports. I would expect to continue and build those relationships stronger.

I have not been active at a National level with the Porsche Club of America, but I would make every effort to build a relationship and represent Alaska Porsche owners with them in a way that is uniquely Alaskan. I believe that the Porsche brand is important as a luxury brand, but I also believe that it is founded upon motorsports and would work to ensure that they are upheld and each facet of those be presented and hopefully understood over time by each.

Finally, I would like to say that as a volunteer organization, I would devote the time I have available to try to build meaningful relationships with all our members and their families, building on fruitful old traditions and developing new traditions that will carry us forward. The bottom line is that if elected,

I would do the best I could and expect the same from all our members.

Thank you for your consideration,

Terrance Pearson

Mike Holtzclaw:

I have had 20 plus years of experience as a member, built a relationship with the PCA National Board for Alaska to be recognized as a strong Region.

I work for all of the PCA members and want everyone to feel included and having as much fun with our Porsche cars as we can – safely!

Trust, honestly and integrity is paramount for good leaders qualities to have and I strive to be that person as best I can. Improve and build a better relationship with the local dealership. I appreciate and respect what the people who started this Region and honor their memory.

Thanks for your consideration,

Mike Holtzclaw

Bruce Morgan:

Hello! My name is Bruce Morgan, and I am the sitting Vice President of our PCA Alaska Region. I have been nominated for the position of president, and I’m honored to accept. We have the history and the bones of a great group of people who love and drive Porsche vehicles. I hope to continue to add to the history of this region and grow the camaraderie of the people who are, in my mind, caretakers of their vehicles. We want to share the experience of driving our state's roads with future caretakers who may not know at this time that they will develop into owning and caring for these beautiful machines. My goal is to develop future leaders who will take our region even further than we can today. I hope to see you soon at a future event where we can share our love of great cars! Thank you for your encouragement!

Sincerely,

Bruce Morgan
